Padraic O’Meara is a South African-born director, cinematographer, photographer, and creative director based in Portland, Oregon.

His visual education began with still photography and his mother, a printmaker and ceramic artist who taught him to notice composition, form, and light. After working in fashion, animation, and visual effects, he studied directing and screenwriting at AFDA and began directing commercials, documentaries, and animation.

Wanting greater control over the visual language of his projects, Padraic began shooting his own work and found his central practice in cinematography. It became the place where his experience in photography, directing, design, and image-making came together—and the foundation from which his work as a director and creative director continues to grow. Today, he moves fluidly between these roles, bringing a broad creative perspective and years of practical experience to every collaboration.

His work spans global brands, cultural institutions, and independent productions, including projects for Nike, Airbnb, Rivian, HP, Fully, Leatherman, The Nature Conservancy, Portland Japanese Garden, and IN A LANDSCAPE, along with the films Half Sisters and Broken Heart Spread.
